Within your Playbook, you can customize each rule to provide Spellbook with additional context and guidance for your review:
Note: Add an internal note for the reviewer to provide additional context or guidance. This is for reference only and will not result in a revision.
Preferred Language: Specify your preferred language, tone, or writing style. Spellbook will use this guidance when suggesting revisions.
Suggested Comments: Add helpful, ready-to-use comment suggestions that can be used during the review process.
Fallback Position: Add predetermined fallback positions to help guide negotiations. This can specify what you're willing to accept if the preferred position cannot be achieved.
Risk Level: Assign a Low, Medium, or High risk level to a rule. Use risk levels to flag provisions that may require additional attention or escalation.
Requires approval from: Require a specific reviewer's sign-off before the rule is considered satisfied
To get started on customizing rules, you will need to edit a Playbook you own or create a new Playbook.
Go to Playbooks > Existing Playbook OR Create a New Playbook
If an existing Playbook, click into the settings icon > Edit

Add Notes
A note is additional context or guidance for the reviewer that does not prompt Spellbook to make revisions. For internal review only.
Add Preferred Language
Preferred Language is your ideal language for clauses. Once inputted, Spellbook will keep that preferred language in mind when giving suggested revisions.
Add Suggested Comments
Suggested comments are ready-to-use comments that Spellbook can recommend during the review process. You can add up to three comments per rule.
Add Fallback Positions
Fallback positions are predetermined alternatives that outline what you're willing to accept if your preferred position cannot be reached. You can add up to three per rule.
Add Risk Levels
A risk level indicates how significant a potential issue is and can help identify rules that may require additional attention or escalation. You can add a low, medium, and high risk per rule.
Requires Approval From
Use the Requires Approval From field to specify who needs to approve a provision before it can be accepted or finalized.
