The Library, accessible through the settings icon (Spellbook icon in the top-left) or from the Draft tab, is your go-to resource for frequently used precedent language.
Upload your own custom clauses for quick access, or browse Spellbook’s built-in library to find the right clause and insert it into your document in seconds.
Access Library
There are two ways to access your Library.
The first is through the Spellbook icon > Library
The second is through the Draft tab. Open the Library/AI Generated drop-down > Manage Library.
Set Up Library
To add new folders and documents to the Library, click on "New Folder." Upload files directly from your computer or connect to the provided directories to transfer files that way.
Use Library
1. Click on Draft and type in the clause you'd like to search for. Make sure the drop-down is toggled to Library and not AI Generated.
2. There is a filter option available, if you'd like Spellbook to search through specific folders in the Library.
3. Click on the blue arrow key to start the search.
4. When you'd like to use a clause, click on "Use Clause."
5. A window will pop up. Click inside the textbox to make any phrasing changes.
Auto-adjust will adjust the language of the clause to the language of your document.
Copy-to-clipboard will copy the clause to your clipboard.
Insert will insert the clause at your cursor inside your document.
⚠️ Note: Clauses inserted via the Draft tab will not automatically redline.
To insert clauses are redline changes, turn on Tracked Changes in Microsoft Word (not Spellbook). To do so go to the Review Tab (in Microsoft Word) > Toggle On Tracked Changes
