The Spellbook icon disappearing from your MS Word can be caused by any of the following:
You have been signed out of your MS account;
You are signed in to a different MS account;
You recently updated your MS Word.
Signed Out of MS Account
You will then need to sign in using your correct MS Account linked to your Spellbook Subscription.
Start by selecting Quit Word and Re-open your Word document. You should see a banner prompting you to activate now. click Activate.
From here you will be prompted to sign into your MS Account:
Once you have successfully signed into your MS Account click Start Using Word:
If the Spellbook icon no longer appears on the top left portion of your screen, reinstall Spellbook. Refer to our How to Download Spellbook article for more information on installing Spellbook.
Signed into a Different MS Account
If you are signed into a different MS Account navigate to Word on the top left of your screen and select Sign Out.
You will then need to sign in using your correct MS Account linked to your Spellbook Subscription.
Start by selecting Quit Word. Re-open a Word document, you will then see a banner prompting you to active now. click Activate.
You will then need to sign into your account:
Once you have successfully signed into your MS Account click Start Using Word:
Recent Updates to MS Word
If there was a recent update to your MS Word. Uninstalling and Re-Installing Spellbook should resolve the issue.
