Spellbook's Associate feature is a web app that focuses on multi-document workflows. It makes it easy to compare documents, revise document templates based on reference documents or ask questions about multiple documents at once.

The Spellbook Word app is intended for single-document work and focuses on reviewing and drafting a single doc. It is best to use Spellbook's Word app when you want to redline and mark up a single document or flag risks and improvements.

Spellbook's Associate app is best for multi-document workflows. This is when you need to revise a template based on reference documents or compare other documents. It is not intended for drafting clauses or documents from scratch, which is better suited for the Spellbook Word app. The Associate feature is best for doing comparisons or revising a template document based on other reference documents.

1. Go to https://associate.spellbook.legal and sign in to your Spellbook account (here's how to get signed-up if you aren't already).

Once signed in, start your first project by clicking Blank Project

To compare two documents to see the difference, start a new project and upload the two or more documents you want to compare.

2. Then type in your instructions to "compare the two documents and highlight any changes or differences". Spellbook will then give you a summary of the changes.

You can have an ongoing conversation with Spellbook Associate to ask it to provide more details or provide concise summaries of the changes. Simply type in your instructions or feedback and Spellbook will respond appropriately.

3. If you want to add a document to a project for additional reference, click Add File and upload any additional documents you need.
