How to Adjust Your Review Settings

Spellbook's Review feature is great for ensuring nothing gets missed during a document review and flagging unique suggestions or improvements you might not have considered.

To improve this experience, you can tailor how you want the suggestions from a Review to appear.

How to Adjust Review Settings

1. Click "Review"

2. Click "Negotiate" or any of the review options you'd want to use (General, Negotiate or Custom)

3. Click "Markup settings"

4. You can now adjust how you want the revisions to appear. You can adjust if you want comments to be included or not. Simply toggle the Show Comments option ON (highlighted red) if you want comments, or toggle it off (in grey) to not have comments included.

5. You can also determine the audience who will see the revision, which will help Spellbook tailor the feedback based on who will see it. Simply click on Audience and select Counterparty if you're sending it to a counterparty and Internal if it's for internal review.

6. You can also adjust who you represent to further tailor and target the review of the document based on what is most advantageous for this party.

7. To get the best review results, make sure to add Deal Context to the review specifying any requirements or goals the party you represent have.

8. To run the review, click "Review"

9. When the suggestions are loaded, you can now revise exactly what the revision will be before it's added as a tracked change. Click on the pencil icon of the suggestion to edit the language.

10. You can also edit the exact language of the comment you will insert by clicking on Comment and the pencil icon next to comment to edit what the comment will be when you apply the change.

11. Spellbook will also pre-load comments based on the audience - a comment for if it's for the counterparty and then a comment for internal revision. Simply click on which version you'd want to add.

12. You can see where in the document this would be applied by clicking the Show button

13. To apply the change after you've revised the change or comment, click Apply.

14. You can also copy all the suggestions by clicking Copy to Clipboard to paste in another document or an email if you need to send this to other team members for review.

15. You can adjust these settings at anytime by clicking the gear icon at the bottom and toggle on Revisions or Comments.

16. You can use the same settings gear icon to adjust if you want the suggestions applied as tracked changes or not. By default it will track all changes, but you can adjust this by switching the toggle off (it will be grey when off) and the changes will not be tracked.
