Why Use Reviews?

  • To save time reviewing and marking up your documents

  • Have mark-ups automatically added to your document for easy review

  • Customize how you’d like your document reviewed


Review Overview


Examine Documents with Reviews

1. Click "Review"

2. Choose which type of Review you'd like to run: Comprehensive Review (Automatic) or Custom


Comprehensive Review (Automatic): Runs General Risks and Proofreading in a single click. You can choose to run one or the other or both.


Custom Review: Tailor specific instructions for how you'd like Spellbook to review your document


Comprehensive Review

3. Click "Select party..." to select the party that you're representing

4. You can also select the jurisdiction you'd like Spellbook review the document under.

5. To improve the quality of review suggestions, make sure add Deal Context and type in any additional context about the deal or your client that will help the review.

6. Click "Review Settings" to modify any revision settings
Toggle "Show revisions" or "Show comments" if you'd like to implement revisions or comments into your document.
Toggle "Use tracked changes" if you'd like Spellbook to redline revisions for you.

7. Select the review depth to adjust how many issues you'd like flagged.
Light Markup: Flag only critical issues
Standard Markup: Balanced review of important and notable issues
Heavy Markup: Flag everything, including minor and phrasing issues

8. Click "Start" to begin the analysis

9. When the review loads, you can toggle between General Risks and Proofread results.

10. Down below, you will see reasoning as to why that issue was flagged.

11. Any revisions or comments flagged can be edited by using the pencil icon.

12. Click "show" to see where in the document it applies.

13. Click "Apply" to accept the proposed change


Custom Review

14. Now let's switch over to a Custom Review.

15. Similar to the Comprehensive Review, you can select the party that you're representing.

16. You can also select the jurisdiction you'd like the document to be reviewed under.

17. Type in any specific instructions you have for how you want the document reviewed. Think of this like giving instructions to an assistant for exactly what you want them to look for.

18. You can also click on the bookmark icon to access your previously saved prompts.

19. The prompt window will open up where you can access all your prompts. Or you can create a new prompt by clicking on the '+' icon.

20. Click "Review Settings" to modify any revision settings
Toggle "Show revisions" or "Show comments" if you'd like to implement revisions or comments into your document.
Toggle "Use tracked changes" if you'd like Spellbook to redline revisions for you.

21. Select the review depth to adjust how many issues you'd like flagged.

22. Click "Enhance prompt" if you need assistance with prompting.

23. Click "Start" to run the review

24. You can also save these custom review instructions by clicking on the bookmark in the top of the prompt and it will save these instructions.

25. Down below, you will see reasoning as to why that issue was flagged.

26. Any revisions or comments flagged can be edited by using the pencil icon.

27. Once Review suggestions appear, click "show" to see where in the document it applies.

28. To insert the suggestion, click "Apply"
