What is "Ask"?

The new Ask tab is our very own, built-in, AI chat, which lets you quickly search your document for important information, draft verbiage for documents or emails, and review basic data across the whole document or a specific selection of text.

How to use Ask

1. In the Assistant Tab, click "Ask" to ask Spellbook anything related to your document or to quickly create verbiage.

2. Enter your prompt in the text box.

3. Under "Full Document," you can choose to direct your ask to the entire document or only to a selected text. If you chose the later option, you will need to highlight the text you'd like Spellbook to review.

4. You can also click on the dice icon to have Spellbook generate prompts for you.

5. Once you're happy with the prompt, click the blue arrow to run the ask.

6. Spellbook will generate an answer based on your inquiry and provide references, which indicate where in the document they are pulling the information from.

7. You can also copy the generated response to your clipboard by clicking on the "Copy Message" icon.

8. If you'd like to save the prompt for later, you can click on the bookmark icon next to your prompt.

9. To access your saved prompts, go back to the ask tab and click on the bookmark icon underneath the text box.

10. There, you can search for your saved prompts.

11. In "Ask," you can also do basic document edits by toggling "Edit Document." However, for more nuanced and customized reviews, please use the review functions (i.e. Negotiate, Custom Review, Playbooks, etc.)

12. Insert your prompt and click the arrow key.

13. Spellbook will then suggestion some changes. You can click on the arrow to jump to the portion in the text where this suggestion will be applied.

14. Click "Apply Change" if you'd like to apply the suggestions.
