On July 6th, Spellbook will roll out an update that changes how customers sign in to improve your experience and make it easier to access the full suite of Spellbook products including the Spellbook Word Add-In & Associate.
We are upgrading the sign-in experience to deliver a more secure and consistent sign-in experience across all Spellbook products. This also strengthens SSO support for organizations and sets the foundation for future cross-product improvements.
Users will now sign in using their email and password (or SSO via Microsoft/Google). This change does not affect billing, existing data, playbooks, or saved prompts.
What's Changed:
After July 6th you will be prompted to set up your sign-in credentials for Spellbook. The next time you sign into Spellbook (Associate or Word Add-In), you will be prompted to set this up.
Will this affect my billing or subscription?
No. This is a sign-in change only. Your plan, billing cycle, and all features remain the same.
Do I need to create a new password?
If your organization uses Single Sign-On like Google or Microsoft, you can just sign in via that method and it will ask you to use the password you typically use for SSO sign-ins.
How to Set Up Your Spellbook Account with your Single Sign On Credentials
Step 1 - After July 6th, the next time you reload Spellbook's Word Add-In you will be prompted to sign in with your work account.
A page like this will pop up. Click the Sign In With Your Work Account button.
Step 2 - You will then be asked to confirm which email address you'd like to use. This might appear as a Microsoft account if you were not aware which account you signed up for Spellbook with.
To use a different email, click Use a Different Email. All you need to do is type in your business email, and it will ensure your account is tied to the correct email going forward.
Click Sign-In.
Step 3 - You will then be asked to sign-in with the Single Sign On provider you and your organization use (Google or Microsoft). Click the appropriate one for you.
Step 4- It will take you to a new page to sign-in via Google or Microsoft like you do with other softwares you use in your organization.
If you are new to Spellbook and getting started for the first time, you will then be prompted to enter your License key for Spellbook. This will be shared by your sales rep or your organization's Spellbook admin.
