Step-by-step: Use Embedded Editor

Step 1: Start a New Project and Add your Files

To begin your Project, choose the type of project you want to run, such as:

  • Edit a document

  • Draft from precedent

    OR

  • Add your Files and send your prompt

Step 2: Review changes directly in Associate

Track changes and suggested edits now appear inside the document preview, instead of only in the side panel, and are shown as tracked changes.

Step 3: Edit the document directly

Click anywhere in the document and make edits as you normally would in Microsoft Word. You can add, remove, or revise text in real time.

Tips for a smooth workflow

  • If an AI suggestion isn’t quite right, you can refine it by either:

    • Adjusting the text directly in the editor, or

    • Returning to chat and asking Spellbook to revise the suggestion

  • Because the editor is built within Associate, you can edit without relying on a desktop Microsoft Office install.
