Why Are We Updating Our UI?

Spellbook is releasing a new UI to help improve the ease of use. This new UI will make it easier for you to access the key features you need for:
โ€‹1. Document Review

2. Drafting

3. Asking Questions


What Has Changed in Spellbook's New UI?

  • The main screen has changed and is now organized under the 3 main tabs: Ask, Draft and Review based on the actions you want to take

  • Benchmark has moved to the top tab for easy access

  • Clause Library has moved to the Settings page

  • Playbooks for Custom Reviews have been moved under the Custom Review section and appear as a Bookmark over the Custom Review


How to Use Spellbook's New UI

Check out our updated Get Started Guide for a detailed overview of how to use Spellbook's new UI.

1. Start any review with a quick overview of what might be missing with Benchmarks.

2. See what is missing and apply suggested fixes with a simple click.

3. Go to the Assistant tab to access other features.

4. Use AI to redline and markup your document by clicking Review.

5. You can use General, Custom or Negotiation reviews (see which Review to use) to get suggestions on how to improve your document.

What was previously known as Playbooks that you could use for Custom Review instructions have moved locations. They are now found under Custom Review.

Where to find my Playbooks (previously used for Custom Reviews)?

Custom Review instructions, previously known as Playbooks, have been renamed to Custom Review prompts. They have now moved to a new location under Custom Review.

To access them, click "Review"

Click "Custom Review"

Click the Bookmark button to access your saved Custom Review prompts (previously known as Playbooks).

This is where you can add and update any existing custom review prompts (previously known as Playbooks) that you have. To create a Custom Review prompt, click the + sign

Type in the title for this Custom Review prompt and decide if you want to make it available for your organization to see by selecting Organization or personal by selecting Personal.

7. To run a custom review with these saved Custom Review prompts, simply click on the prompt you want to use and it will automatically load as a Custom Review you can run.

6. Use Spellbook for drafting by clicking the Draft tab.You can use New Clause to draft new clauses, write follow up emails to clients

7. Or generate full documents with the new Document feature.

8. Repurpose precedent language with the Clause Library, accessible under the Settings page.

9. Click "Search Clause Library" to search your Clause Library for language to repurpose.

10. Click "Ask" to start a conversation with Spellbook's AI and ask questions about the document such as what are the payment terms.
